Hi I'm Linda, a songwriter, singer and I play the guitar. I started singing gospel music with my sister Susie when I was just 3 years old. My mother and maternal grandmother were delighted. Our harmony was perfect. My mother had sang gospel music over radio. She had prayed for some "singers" in the family. We sang in lots of churches in different towns. In 1962 my sweet little sister died suddenly of a ruptured spleen. We were a year apart in age and very close. That was a crushing tragedy for me. Susie was a really sweet girl and God wanted His angel back.
I was born without a right ear both inner & outer. It was thought that I would eventually lose my hearing. My condition was extremely rare. Doctors said that there were no case histories of anyone living past their teens.Surgery had to be delayed until the teen years and then pain from the surgery had killed all of the patients. According to Dr. John Ray, even a head cold could mean a violently painful death. This is because of abcesses forming on the brain as the result of unequal pressures. I never had a head cold until I was about 17. Of course all of this was not told to me as I was growing up. I did have some plastic surgery at age 18 months. I ended up in a cast that completely covered my head except for my eyes, end of nose and lips. I wore that cast for a year. My cousin showed me a 2 page article in the National Enquirer about it. When I was in grade school my mother wrote to Oral Roberts. He wrote back not to worry because "God had great plans for my life."
My registered Roller Canary was born on the same day and year as me. Petey and the radio were always near me. My parents thought that I needed companionship in my muffled world of silence. Therefore I learned to sing in perfect pitch. My beloved canary died on Christmas day of 1962. Petey had breathed in the angel hair that we had placed on the tree Christmas Eve. That day was a sad one. Everyone of us loved little Petie who ate treats from our hands. My parents were the greatest, and my childhood was mostly a happy one. My parents both loved music. They enriched our lives with almost every musical instrument there is.
During the blizzard of 1977, my left ear drum blew out. Dr. John Ray undertook the difficult task of constructing my right ear canal. This operation was necessary to equalize the pressures in my head. The surgery took 8 hours. Dr. Ray was using a drill bit the size of a human hair to carve through solid bone. When his hands grew shaky he called on Dr. Marsh from O.S.U. for help. A nurse called my immediate family members in and they were told that I probably was not going to make it. Because of  fallen nerves the hearing could not be hooked up in the deaf ear.
After the surgery the pain was excruciating. The nerves had to be cut under my tongue. It was blistered and swollen to the roof of my mouth. My eyes were black and my jaws dislocated. I was not able to eat anything for thirteen days. I begged everyone for a gun to shoot myself with. Finally I cried out, "Lord, you said in your word that you would not put more upon me then what I could bear. You have so please just let me die." Slowly a scene unfolded before my eyes. Jesus was dying on His cross. He writhed in agonizing pain and looked at me in great sadness. He then hung His head. The sun set. The cloth draped at His waist I had thought was lavender turned into a blinding white. As my tears fell like rain - I realized my pain was gone. Today, that old cross has such a real meaning to me. I often end up crying, because of watching my Savior die a horrible death.
Because of God's mercy, I am a Medical Miracle. I had to suffer through 2 more skin grafts and ear surgeries but I'm alive. I attended college with a Registered Nursing Major. I had to quit because of my daughter's illness.
In 1996, Joni was a passenger in a pick up truck which struck 3 horses in the road. The wreck killed her and the horses. The planned National Single release of Look For Jesus was not to be. You can read more of the story on the "Family" pages. I'm far from perfect. Moses killed a man and God gave him the Ten Commandments. He gave me many beautiful songs. God looks into the heart and He has His own reasons and ways. Like Pilgrim George, I also am quiet for long periods of time. My creativity seems to benefit from solitude. "Before you speak, it is necessary for you to listen, for God speaks in the silence of the heart." ~Mother Teresa~

Thank you Father for miracles, and giving me One More Day to serve You.

The Holy Bible From Ancient Eastern Manuscripts is a translation from Aramaic into English by George Lamsa. Aramaic is the still living language of Jesus spoken by His descendents. For hundreds of years these people have lived much as Jesus did. Aramaic is very similar to Hebrew, but there are some differences. A dictionary will confirm this as the language of Jesus.

Read the Lamsa Bible Online here.
Jesus made the statement to His disciples, before His crucifiction, that in a little while they would all leave Him.He then said He was never alone, because His Father was always with Him. The Lamsa Bible states that He cried out from the cross, "Eli, Eli, lemana shabakthani." The correct interpretation for Matthew 27: 46 is "My God, my God, for this I was spared." I highly recommend purchasing this Bible and reading it for yourself.
